Your dignity comes first

Discreet help, at your pace.

Our promise

Your dignity always comes first

Accepting help with personal care can feel like a big step. Our carers understand that, and they will never rush you. They always ask before helping, explain what they are doing and encourage you to do as much as you would like to for yourself.

Your preferences are written into your care plan, from the products you use and how warm you like the water, to the order of your routine and whether you would prefer a male or female carer.

We support you the way you would support someone you love:patiently, privately and with respect.

How we help

Personal care support we provide

Every package is different. Your care plan sets out exactly what support you receive, and it can include:
  • Washing, showering and bathing support
  • Oral care, shaving and hair care
  • Getting dressed and undressed
  • Toileting and continence support
  • Help moving safely around the home, within your assessed needs
  • Getting in and out of bed or a chair, using equipment where assessed
  • Applying creams as directed in your care plan
  • Noticing changes in skin or wellbeing and reporting them to the office

Personal care can be combined with meals, medication reminders and companionship in the same visit.

Who personal care can help

Personal care may suit you or someone close to you if:
  • washing or dressing has become tiring or unsafe
  • reduced mobility makes the bathroom harder to use
  • you have come home from hospital and need extra help for a while
  • a family member has been providing personal care and needs support
  • you want to stay independent at home with discreet help in place

Trained and checked

Trained to support you safely

Every carer who provides personal care completes safe recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check and references. Before working alone, they complete training in moving and handling, infection prevention and control, and safeguarding.

Where equipment such as a hoist or standing aid is needed, we assess this first and make sure carers are trained to use it safely. Our registered manager oversees every care plan.
